First Aid courses for individuals, groups and business'
Practical & engaging first aid courses for low prices
First Aid Bristol is a family run business that has been operating in the South West for the last 15 years. Originally based on Dartmoor on Devon Indie Lyndale and her team of highly qualified instructors have taught 1000’s of people first aid. Realising the need for this valuable skill we moved to Bristol giving us access to teach even more people.
All instructors have taken the full FAW instructor training certificate, the First Aid Instructors Certificate (this combines HSE recognised instructor training with City and Guilds 7300 introduction to the Trainer skills qualification), and the Expedition Care Programme certificate (ECP). They are also experienced teachers with PGCE training or above and outdoor instructors with practical experience of real life first aid emergencies in remote locations.
All candidates taking a first aid course of 6 hours or more will receive a 3 year certificate which is recognised and can be used as evidence of comprehensive first aid training.
Participants of all first aid courses will get a certificate of completion and action book which contains useful information regarding your new skills so things can stay fresh in your memory.
We run first aid courses across all of Bristol and the South West.
We run first aid courses in various venues depending on your group size and requirements. As most of our courses are tailored to your exact requirements, often the venue we use will reflect this. For example some of our courses may involve a wilderness module so we will use a venue that can provide this.
We can also run first aid courses in your place of work to make things easier for you.
Let us know your requirements and we can accommodate.
The smallest group we work with is 2 candidates.
This is to ensure you get effective training that you can use when it really counts. Having people in your group means we are able to set up scenarios for you to respond to.
If you are on your own and are looking to train in first aid we would recommend you join one of our already running courses.
You need no prior knowledge. We are happy to teach first aid to anybody as this incredible skill can help you save lives. We get many return clients for refresher courses so if your certificate is up for renewal get in touch as we have great return client offers.
We run courses from 3 hours to 3 days.
If you are participating in a fully comprehensive first aid course the days will be a minimum of 6 hours and a maximum of 8 hours.
All certificates last for 3 years after which you have to do the course again with the exception of the FAW, in this case you need to do the 2 day refresher.
